Welcome to The Anchor’s well-being page.
Whitby has a thriving and varied offering of groups, activities and organisations which care for mental health and well-being.
As a rural and isolated town, Whitby doesn’t always have the same opportunities and access to services, so over the last few years, there has been a concerted movement of local people creating and finding their own ways to take care of well-being – from sea-swimming, to football, to group sessions or saunas.
Nowadays, people are navigating busy lifestyles, a constant digital world and growing pressures from work, family, money and society meaning it has become harder to switch off.
Our well-being page will pull together the wide range of opportunities in Whitby which contribute to health and well-being and we hope here you will find something for you.
Take care,
