In Pictures: Fan-tastic event as Whitby Town FC holds annual gala day

Football, fans and funds were the aim of the game at Whitby Town Football Club’s annual gala day this weekend.

The community were invited to The Towbar Express Stadium to for a fun, family day out hosted by the club, and the rain didn’t stop play.

There were community and trade stalls, fun fair rides and attractions for children and families, food and drink and a good old catch up amongst friends and local businesses.

Gala Day comes ahead of the new Northern Premier League season, kicking off next month. Having held on during the last game of the season to avoid relegation, Whitby Town will face Leek Town, away, on the first day of the new season on August 8.

Whitby’s first home game of the new season will be against Guiseley on Tuesday August 11.
