Starting school is a major milestone for every child’s life as they embark on their education journey.
The Anchor’s photographer, Ceri Oakes, has been on hand to capture the special moments and visited the primary schools in Whitby and the surrounding villages as children settled into their new routine and met new friends and teachers.
School reports so far have been top class, she said, giving the new pupils 10 out of 10 for good behaviour on photoshoots.
